  7. This is EpicEncyclopediaSearch V1.09. An alternative search utility for the
  8. wonderful Epic Interactive Encyclopedia '97.
  9.  
  10. EpicES was created using Blitz Basic 2.1.
  11.  
  12. I initially decided to develop this program, because I felt the original
  13. program's search facility lacked the ability to display all matches at once.
  14. The only way to find what you want was to keep pressing the "next" key
  15. combination (ramiga n). Then if you missed the article you were looking for,
  16. you had to repeat the whole process again.

  19. EpicES has the following features:

  21. * User-definable viewers for text, images, samples, animations and modules.
  22.  
  23. * Pre-definable saves directory (for text only at this stage).
  24.  
  25. * All subjects matching search criteria are displayed and selected from
  26.   a standard listview.
  27.  
  28. * Subject text displayed in the interface via listview.
  29.  
  30. * World-info text is treated in the same way as any other subject.
  31.  
  32. * "People-MESS" archive searchable whilst in LhA form!
  33.  
  34. * User-definable Index file locations.
